Really slow morning with breakfast and then heading down to the pool. Got some sunshine every now and then, alternating between hanging in the pool and on the sunbed. Two kids with one or two parents also took a bath at the same time, it’s fun to see kids playing in the water, getting comfortable, and so on.

Just chillin’ and watching TV shows.

Jumped in a cab to the mall Grand Indonesia with the goal to go to the cinema, to watch Meg 2: The Trench. Bought my ticket, and went for the Gold Class version, still just 100k ~ 70 SEK. Then found myself some late lunch, a kebab! I went back to the store I visited two days ago where I bought a bag, to apply for a tax refund. Now I have three pieces of paper that I will hand in at the airport, we’ll see how that goes.

“Please open the window and the trunk of your car”

Bought some snacks and then headed into the lounge reserved for Gold Class tickets. Though they didn’t check any tickets so I guess anyone could sit there. The door opened about ten minutes before the announced time so I went in, just to see the credits on the previous movie rolling. I asked a member of the staff and he said I was too early.

The next time the door opened, the time was 16:50, which it said on the ticket. The movie didn’t start until 17:08, so they do have that in common with Sweden. However, when it comes to seating, Indonesia is waaaaay ahead. Large, comfortable recliners and you get a blanket, which came in handy because halfway through the film it got a bit chilly.

The movie was alright, about the same as the first one (saw that one last night). Maybe not the perfect movies to watch before heading out to sea. I went looking for some dinner before heading back to the hotel and found a place called Pepper Lunch which offered steaks. ~200 grams of some meat, mashed potatoes, and rice(?!) made a decent meal, especially for the price. Looking forward to a real steak when I’m back home.

Finally, the cab driver spoke some English, not great, but some. He knew about Zlatan, Tomas Brolin and Fredrik Ljungberg. We both deemed the traffic in Jakarta unsafe. Fun to be able to have (some sort of) a conversation. Got back to the hotel and got early to bed. At 7 tomorrow I’ll be picked up for a day trip to some island off the coast. Maybe do some snorkeling, we’ll see.
