There are early mornings on vacation and then there are early mornings on vacation. 5:30 is not a time you want to set an alarm for during your vacation.

The taxi picked us up at six and we headed down to the pier. Check-in at Lomprayah and then off to 7-Eleven for breakfast. Toast and some water.

The boat ride took just over two hours and I found myself just below the outflow from the AC so for the first time since I stepped on the plane in Copenhagen I put on my sweater (that resided in the bottom of my backpack).

After the boat, it was an hour of bus transfer to the airport. Well at the airport the check-in didn’t open for 90 minutes so half of the group found the only restaurant at the terminal and had some lunch, well needed since breakfast was eaten five hours earlier.

Uneventful flight back to Bangkok and after a bit of hide and seek outside the arrivals terminal we found our pre-ordered taxi and got back where we spent the first night on this trip (except the flight), Patumwan House.

Check-in and then off to MBK Center for some dinner (lunch for some), shopping, and cinema. I could for the first time since we left Denmark pay with my American Express when I ordered a tailor-made suit.

Ended the evening with the movie Ant-Man and the Wasp in the VIP Cinema at MBK Center. Just six armchairs per row, and a little table where you can stash your snacks and drinks. You could tilt the back of the chair to a comfortable position. We got a welcome drink before entering. Before the movie (during the 30 minutes of trailers and commercial) we were asked to stand during the national anthem in honor of their king.

The movie was good, the lower temperature in the room in combination with the large soda I bought made it a bit tense for the last half an hour. After the movie, we went through the doors marked exit and came out into the parking garage. A trip down six floors and we finally found out where we were and could make our way back to the hotel.
