Got up around 9:30, not the best sleep, probably because of the rather hard beds, even though I have a full 140cm to myself. Got breakfast and wrote yesterday’s post, remembering the sad ending of Sweden’s participation in the World Cup.

Rented a scooter and got out in Thong Sala for some shopping. During my little expedition, I discovered what looked like an old warship, in a small pond. Seemed to be a museum but closed at the moment. Found a bunch of stuff and headed back to Lime & Soda. Some chilling at the swimming pool until dinnertime.

Mattias had found this Korean place and suggested BBQ there. Everyone headed over to the restaurant with either a scooter or a taxi. Half of us ordered BBQ and it was amazing. You got raw meat in slices that primarily the staff fried on a grill on the table and then you just took pieces, dipped it in one of three sauces, put it and some vegetables on a piece of salad, and just stuffed it on your mouth, delicious. I got a bit stressed by the constant frying meat but in the end, we got really full and just plain happy.

After dinner, we headed to a Buddha festival or something. Lots of food stands, some real high-quality shopping, game stands, and of course a stage with Thai(?) music. The band seemed to enjoy themselves, I had no clue what they were singing. At the stage, there were tables and beer stands. We ordered a “draft tower”, filled with beer. People were happy 🙂

Drove back home on the scooter to end the evening in the bar at the beach.
