A calm morning with some packing, breakfast, and check-out. The taxi was booked for 11:15, arrived at 11:00, and wasn’t too happy that we wanted to go straight to the pier in Thong Sala, I assume he wanted to take a detour and pick up some more (we had four free seats in the van).

As we were traveling with margins we sat at the pier for about an hour before our boat arrived. A catamaran this time as well but a slightly different model. Since it was quite windy the boat rolled from side to side and there is testimony that at least two people vomited (not anyone in our group).

When we hit the port on Koh Tao we actually found a car that said Pinnacle Resort, the place we are staying at. He wasn’t prepared for 13 people though so he had to call in backup. That took some time and we were talking about going by foot. After the trip though we are happy we didn’t. Lots of hills, and steep such.

The whole resort is on a slope down towards the ocean and the height difference is so large that they offer car service between four points of the resort. Just call the reception and the car will arrive.

We stay in Beachview villas, two and two (with one exception). The view is magnificent, even though you basically see only the ocean (and the villas below you).

After settling in most of us went to the restaurant for some late lunch (~16 o’clock). There where pizza on the menu which half of the group ordered and it did not disappoint.

Some chilled in the rooms, some tried the pool and then off to the town. Just walking around in Sairee and some dinner, Italian style. Everyone except me was about to walk to the pier in Mae Haad cause a transfer to the resort was going to leave at 21:30. My plan was to take a taxi (the walk was around 30 min). Just as we split up the rain started to pour so I got company in my cab 🙂

Back at the resort a bunch of us hung out at Sara and Kristoffer’s balcony. Tomorrow it’s time for diving!!
