We got up and met in the restaurant for breakfast at nine. It was better than expected. The age on the LIF fans was a bit above ours (we would like to think at least), I guess the others were sleeping it off after some celebrations yesterday.

We left the hotel to do an escape room we booked last night. The theme was Bunker and we solved it but got clues for two things, which we should have figured out. A pretty good room with a couple of advanced features. Can recommend Trapped in Bratislava. We were caught a bit off guard since they didn’t accept card, even though it cost €50 (flat-rate). Half my stash of cash went there.

We moved on to the Bratislava castle which we walked around (it was closed because of covid). When up on the hill nine jets passed by in the sky above us, deploying smoke in Italy colors. They flew by a few times and some googling said something about an airplane festival where an Italian fighter group used to perform.

Found a place for lunch, then off for ice cream. It’s been pretty warm all day. Took a stroll along the river where we found a mall, and then a bar/café where we took some refreshments. A few players passed by and Martin thanked them for their performance yesterday.

Back to the hotel for a shower and power nap. Martin and Johan booked a massage and I went downtown to find myself a mug.

Ran into Göran, Per, Jacob and their companions. They were looking for food so I tagged along until my mates made their way from the hotel. Met some more players and staff who seemed to enjoy themselves responsibly.

When Martin and Johan arrived we took off to find ourselves some dinner. Landed at an Argentinian steakhouse. A delicious meal and good service. Probably the best food experience on this trip for me (so far).

During our walk back to the hotel, we stopped at a fountain which the light shifted and took a bunch of photos. Also run into a couple of guys who are flying from Vienna airport at 6:30, Sunday morning. Roughly 13 hours after the game in Trinec has ended. Helped them look up buses and taxis and they will probably make (maybe, what could go wrong when you are waiting in a bar for the airport shuttle at 3 in the morning?).

Now we are back at the hotel. Leaving for the Bratislava airport at nine in the morning to pick up a car and drive to Trinec.
